Many governments around the world have taken a stand against the use of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals, in the name of food safety. In fact, many countries have banned or are considering banning the use of these chemicals.

But there are some issues with this stance against pesticides, and why there are concerns about malnutrition in this country. And why the World Health Organization is looking at genetically modified crops.

It is estimated that about one million children die each year because of the introduction of a new food crop into the marketplace. These aren’t just the two main food security issues, malnutrition and pesticide use, but also the dangers associated with genetically modified crops.
